The Mountain Desert District Young Adult and Campus Ministry Network is growing! On the most basic level, Young Adult Ministry is defined as a ministry that serves Unitarian Universalists between the ages of 18 and 35. It includes Campus Ministry. Young adults represent a great potential for the growth of our Unitarian Universalist Movement. Young adult-hood is a period of transition, identity building, and spiritual development. The freedom to search for personal meaning that Unitarian Universalism offers is one reason young adults find our faith attractive. They also want the support of a peer group that shares similar values in the religious quest. The MDD is envisioning many possible ways to meet the needs of young adults in UU congregations.
